Food Prices on Campus

The students of the University of Memphis community have been forbearing a very disturbing plague in the present past; however the time has come to be set free and get what is indeed our right.
We have dealt with the outrageous prices of food in our restaurants on campus in the past, but it is now time to decide we want better. These prices rip us constantly of our hard earned money, financial aid and even dinning dollars; you don't think it is hard earned? Wait till you have to stand in that “much dreaded” line at wilder tower.

The school must have thought it was doing its students a favor by adding an unnecessary fee of $300 in the form of dinning dollars to the already skyrocketing tuition, however this has done more harm than good to these unsuspecting students as the "supposedly sufficient" amount barely crosses the half way line of the semester. Why? The “leaches” on campus charge double the amount on every other food item making the whooping sum of $300 seem rather irrelevant. The issue of the students dinning is in a worse state as students are basically confined to the same meals “week-in, week-out”.

Why is any of this important to any of us? If you plan to be alive to make that future you desire, you need to be fed in a healthy manner, at a healthy price. What do we need to do? Stand together in place of our ailing Students Government body and say no this “Daylight Robbery” which has beset us. The results? Better food, better prices, healthier pockets, healthier minds, great grades, and a greater future. Cheers.
